From Feel the Energy to What Comes Next: How My Sound Keeps Evolving Music has never stood still—and neither have I.

Over the years, Shameless Mani has moved through Hip-Hop, Dancehall, Reggaeton, Moombahton, Trap, Naija, Punjabi, Bollywood, Bollytrap, Bollytech, Jersey Club, Psytrance, Afro House and more.

Every genre has influenced me, strengthened my sound and prepared me for the next phase of my journey.

But evolution comes with an interesting challenge.

People often message me asking for a particular kind of track—another Bollywood remix, a Trap version, a mashup or something similar to an earlier release they loved.

I completely understand why. Music becomes connected to memories, and when people love a certain phase of an artist, they naturally want more of it.

But creatively, I may already be somewhere else.

Feel the Energy: A New Chapter

My latest original, Feel the Energy, marked an important step in my evolution as a producer.

It is an Afro House record built around rhythm, movement and the power music has to transform a dance floor.

After more than 25 years behind the console, I have seen one song change the energy of an entire room. Feel the Energy was created to capture that exact moment.

Releasing original music also feels different from producing a remix or performing a DJ set. A great set belongs to one night. An original song carries a part of you into the world and allows listeners to experience your creative identity beyond the booth.

Next Up: Make You Move

My next original release is Make You Move, a 124 BPM Afro House track with melodic, sensual vocals.

While Feel the Energy is about the collective power of a dance floor, Make You Move is more intimate and seductive. It invites you to let go, feel the rhythm and allow the music to take control.

Both songs belong to Afro House, but they express completely different emotions.

That matters to me. I do not want every new song to feel like another version of the previous one. Every release should reveal a different side of my sound.

Then Comes Tiger Anthem

Following Make You Move is Tiger Anthem—an EDM banger with a completely different kind of power.

Moving from melodic Afro House to explosive EDM may surprise some listeners, but it feels natural to me. My musical identity has never belonged inside one box.

The connection between my songs is not one particular genre. It is energy, impact and the instinct to make people move.

These releases are not random changes in direction. They are different expressions of the same artist.

Why I Cannot Always Create What People Request

Receiving messages from listeners asking for more music is a beautiful feeling. It means something I created stayed with them.

I genuinely appreciate every request.

However, creativity cannot always be switched on for a specific sound. When I am deeply involved in a new song or genre, my mind is already living in that world.

Going backwards just to recreate something familiar would not always feel honest—to the listener or to me.

Every song also requires complete attention. The idea, production, arrangement and energy all need time. When I am focused on new originals and exploring different genres, I may not be able to make the exact kind of track someone is requesting.

It is not rejection. It is creative focus.

I would rather put my full energy into music that genuinely excites me than force myself to recreate a sound simply because it worked before.

Evolution Does Not Mean Forgetting the Past

Every phase of my career remains part of who I am.

Hip-Hop gave me attitude. Dancehall, Reggaeton, Moombahton and Naija music strengthened my understanding of groove. Trap taught me impact. Punjabi and Bollywood connected me with audiences across India. Bollytrap and Bollytech helped me reshape familiar songs in unexpected ways.

Jersey Club, Psytrance and Afro House opened even more creative doors.

Those chapters do not disappear when I explore something new. They become part of my musical vocabulary and continue to influence everything I create.

To me, evolution means taking everything you have learned and using it to go somewhere new.

Still Curious After 25 Years

After more than 25 years as a DJ and producer, the easiest option would be to repeat what has already worked.

But music remains exciting because I am still curious.

I still want to experiment with different genres, discover new sounds and find new ways to connect with people. I do not want to create from a fixed formula.

An artist’s journey should respect the past without becoming trapped by it.
